Minimal-prep crowns are a modern dental solution that perfectly corrects dental imperfections (chipped, broken, discolored, stained, gaps between teeth, slight misalignment, etc.).

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so the patient feels no pain. After the anesthesia wears off, you may experience slight discomfort for the first 1-2 days, which will resolve on its own. San Dentist uses a minimum of 0.5mm of tooth preparation – minimally invasive, thus avoiding damage to the tooth pulp.

For the first 24 hours after the porcelain veneers are fitted, limit very hot/very cold foods and hard foods to allow the teeth to stabilize. After that, you can eat and drink normally – but avoid biting on very hard objects (ice, nutshells).

Minimal-prep crowns cover the entire tooth (360° grinding, 0.5-1mm thick) – used for severe defects. Veneers are bonded only to the front surface of the tooth (0.3-0.5mm grinding) – used for relatively even teeth where aesthetics are the primary concern. The dentist will advise on the most suitable solution for each individual case.
